The factory compensator serves as the primary shock absorber between your crankshaft and drivetrain — shielding your flywheel assembly, primary chain, chain adjuster, clutch basket, and transmission from the constant torsional stress generated at low speeds, idle, and part-throttle operation.

Stock M8 compensators are notoriously brittle and fail unexpectedly without signs or warnings. When that happens, it is like tossing a grenade under your bike - destruction everywhere and you are left stranded and stuck with a $2k - $4k repair build.

Our Star M8 billet compensator replacement is built to tighter tolerances with superior materials, delivering smoother engagement, reduced drivetrain noise, and long-term protection for the components behind it — saving you from far more costly repairs down the road. We guarantee our compensator will not break!

This compensator upgrade is the perfect match to any cam purchase.
